These casual roles are aimed at juniors for lunch-time cover at Springwood and Katoomba libraries on weekends. They will assist customers at the library circulation desk, including the checking in and out of library items, processing of payments and recording visits and providing information on programs and services. Other duties include sorting and shelving of library materials quickly and accurately, tidying, regular shelf checking, and assist in setting up displays and events. They will also be required to assist customers in the use of technology, including public access computers, accessing the library catalogue and use of photocopiers.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and enthusiastic Customer Service in response to changing needs.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Demonstrated team experience that shows an ability to work with initiative and flexibility.
- Knowledge of Dewey Decimal classification and library call numbers and categories
- Willingness to undertake cleaning and tidying tasks and follow directions.
Salary: dependent on age, 15-17 years.
