Your role and responsibilities
TVH Spain is looking for an accountant to strengthen the team in exciting times with new projects coming up. Next to general accounting activities, your main focus will be on credit management. You will join a team of 3 colleagues in our Badalona office.
Your responsibilities:
Credit control:
- Evaluate credit worthiness of customers to ensure on-time payments
- Ensure correct payment terms depending on customer's profiles, history and available reports
- Send reminders for outstanding payments
- Follow up on credit limits, blocked orders and customer claims
- Collaborate with debt collector/law firms to ensure pursuance of debtors and outstanding payments
General accounting tasks:
- Processing and controlling incoming invoices, supplier payments and purchase orders
- Executing, booking and controlling bank transactions
- Assist with transactions related to intercompany activities, fixed assets
- Support preparation of tax statements
- Assist in preparing end of month/quarter/year closing
How to succeed / Your profile
- Bachelor or Master degree in Accountancy, Applied economics, Finance or comparable
- A first experience in credit control or accounting is a strong plus
- You are communicative, proactive and result oriented.
- You have general IT skills (Office, Google) and preferably experience with an ERP system.
- Good knowledge of English
